Cleaned out a good two pages of spam (some 30 or so posts) from this thread. Don't know why they like it so much.

And I'll keep a close eye on this thread because I too am looking in to getting a new desktop, since my current one is a five year old prebuilt running on cooking oil and scavenged pieces of other people's computers. Which has worked fine for me, due to how little graphics matter to me, but still. It's time for something functional.
