Why is my xbox-360 wireless controller NOT picking up audio

Why is my xbox-360 wireless controller NOT picking up audio from the game? Xbox audio is connected to TV but I would prefer to hear the audio on my headset connected to controller. I am able to hear the chat though. Do I need to do any additional setup on xbox or controller?

Well, to help answer your question, what kind of headset do you have? Normal headsets don't play game audio through the headset, just the people you're chatting with.

Like Ugh said. The standard headset doesn't allow for game audio.
