Jump to 2:48 for the commentary gameplay video.

Looks pretty awesome! It actually respects elements from the first Wasteland video game while adding new elements and a more expended world. So far, even though it's still in first stage of pre-alpha, it still looks playable and enjoyable.
It also got all those "RPG elements" that whiners with their "I <3 DnD" shirts keep complaining is lacking in recent games. Those ungrateful jer... *Gets slapped* ...Sorry i mean those wonderful people that "encourage" new ideas in the videogame industry actually did good this time! Very Happy Keep reaching for that rainbow!

Glad to know the money i donated actually did some good. Gonna keep you guys updated on any updates.

Looking good. Wonder when it'll be released, considering just how far along it looks. Before 2014, obviously.

Looks coolbut I don't know squat about the original Wasteland. I dunno if it's offensive to say this, but reminds me of Fallout 1/2 with a party system and I'm saying that as a great thing.

Fallout 1 is the successor to Wasteland, more or less.

Pretty much. In fact, it was the early concept of wasteland 2 that became the design for Fallout 1. They had complications following the original game studio so it was scraped then rewritten as "fallout 1". Ever since, Brian Fargo was trying to continue his work. This is his big comeback in the triple A games. I hope this works out great!

I could go on for hours about what's cool with the first wasteland game but there won't be enough space in this thread. Just that one thing that did survive from wasteland one is the term "Exploded like a blood sausage" when you kill someone with a critical hit. the game at the time didn't have lots of room for graphics. So it utilize a text description to explain what was going on screen. That sentenced was parodied in so many games to exaggerate people dying. I love it.
