I'm also a big buyer (but less frequent reader) of the comixology apps. I love reading on my iPad, but man do I have a huge backlog of stuff. It's like my version of a ridiculous Steam library.
I'd suggest doing your best to shop the sales. Every Monday there are $.99 issues on their "Marvel Monday" deal. (Today's is a bunch of Ultimate X-Men) And DC usually gets $.99 issues on the weekends.
Don't just stick to DC and Marvel either. Image and Darkhorse have their own apps as well. |
