I cant wait for this kind of fluid and destructibility to be in a game.

This was using a nvidia 580 with Physx.

First half is fluid demonstration, second half is fluid with dynamically destructible glass.
Ive also seen a nvidia demo where stone pillars are dynamically destructible.

That's amazing. I remembered back in the day getting water to reflect surfaces was a big deal.

The tech has been around since nvidia implemented physx way back on the 200 series. Which was back in 2008, 5 years ago.

The problem is so many developers wouldn't put in the effort to put physx stuff in. Consoles dont have physx and a majority of games are created to try to be the same on all platforms. Nvidia also locked out amd cards from hardware accelerating Physx.

Some devs did great physx implementation while still multi platforming.

Batman Arkham city
Borderlands 2



Nvidia has offered to help sony get physx to run on AMDs tech for the ps4.
I personally would rather nvidia share and work together so more developers are likely to use it and for it to work properly.
