Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

It's a close one so far. I'll let this continue until early tomorrow afternoon and then declare the winner!

With a final score of 7-4, the 2013 Comicbook Showdown winner is...

-----=====<<<<<Doctor Doom>>>>>=====-----

Doctor Strange is to be commended for making it all the way to the final match.

Congrats go to Longo as he picked both Doom and team winners The Cabal.

And that concludes the 2013 Comicbook showdown. I thank you all for your participation.

And mods, if I do this again next year and say I want to push for 128 again, please ban me. I enjoyed running this, but searching for just the right pics and resizing or editing the 300+ of them is a big time-eater. Eh, it's still worth it. Wink

Congrats Longo, I'm sure these weren't your priority characters. Which were in your favor the most?

Awesome showdown paradox. I understand the love-hate relationship of hosting but it's always fun in the end lol.

Actually, they were.

The Cabal is everything I love about villainy and the Dark Reign period, and Doctor Doom is easily my favorite villain of all time (if you could even call him a villain, which I don't always do) and my second favorite character ever, only beaten by my long time love for Spider-Man.

Also, because of this:

So, yeah. Go Doom.

I would've liked to see Aquaman go the distance, but I knew that wasn't going to happen.

I thought including the one of Doom getting blown might be pushing it, but I couldn't pass that one up.

It's never too late to get into comics. I really didn't get super into comics until a couple years ago. Like, two years ago.

It's also never too late to check out the comics from the other side of the pond either. It's not a closed nerdy geek culture there, it's actually more open and accepted. Also less censorship, more taboo subject and full frontal scenes... of both gender.

I mean i was really surprised how people never heard of tintin here 'cept for those that read the cracked.com article that featured colonial time racism... Not gonna say defend Tintin on that but i saw some... disturbing spider-man moments in latter decades.
