Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437
Posted on 01/12/15
I've had a long-standing rule to avoid getting involved in any sort of crowdfunded activities.  I didn't donate to Shadowrun or Wasteland, but I did buy and enjoy both of them (I'm plugging both of those games right now, just so you know they're good).  I haven't...

Yeah, going to need to do some modding to make it fit. Usually I end up removing most or all of the HD bays and stick my SSDs and HDs up in the floppy bay or 5.25" bays. Sometimes the bays are easy to remove and can just be unscrewed. Other times I have had to take a dremel to cut them out. You may even be able to get away with just cutting out a portion of the HD bays.

Im sure you already know this but to anyone else who gets into modding cases. Make sure you blow out the inside after cuts. You wanna make sure you get all those little metal shavings out before you put your equipment back in.

I love pictures.

You have a dremel? If so, get it out and go nuts.
Otherwise, time for tin-snips.

Yeah I have no idea how to remove the hd bay from the case. I feel like a total newb since I don't know the name of them but there's these little screw type things holding the hd bay in but there isn't a head suitable for a screwdriver or anything. So I have no clue how to take them out.

I think they are called rivets.
Sometimes I can grind off the heads of the rivets and then remove the HD cages, Other times I have to cut out parts of the whole cage itself.

Don't feel like a noob. Get yourself a dremel and go to town on it.. Very Happy

You could probably just chop the HDD cage in half and continue to use the bottom slots, couldn't you?
Where abouts is your PCIex16 slot? Because it'd be a pain to have to cut through one of the 3.5" bays.
