Anybody familiar with or have read these? Just found out the games were based off the books or at least themes and characters from the universe. I thoroughly enjoy The Witcher 2 and will likely buy 1 at some point down the road. Are the books and games good tie-ins to eachother?

The book series is its own thing, but a lot of the stuff that happens in the games is related straight from the books. For example, the idea of the village wanting to keep a troll around to maintain the bridge was mentioned in The Last Wish.

Only two of them have been translated yet, but they're definitely worth reading.
