Well, Gamergate has spilled over into the mainstream media and the coverage appears to be nearly uniformly dreadful. Take " What is Gamergate, and What Does It Say About Gender In Video Games? " by David Konnow as an example.  It appears that the writer has done little to no...

Wait wait wait
You're telling me Sony actually put a SMALLER battery in the new controller?
The PS3 was 1800mah.

What the fuck, man?

Less battery for a controller that will probably use more battery. Nice logic there.

Not going to lie, but the PS4 overheats way too fast and the battery life of the DUALSHOCK 4 is very short.

Yeah, it seems to run as hot as my PS3, which surprises me because the reviews say it runs cooler. It's almost as loud when working hard too, but not quite as loud as PS3. (by comparison my Wii U is whisper quiet next to PS3 & PS4.) I get more like 10 hours of controller battery life, but I take frequent small breaks on long sessions.

I guess the Xbox One puts the controller into a low-power standby state when the Kinect sees you set it down while watching TV or whatever. Pretty neat.

I'm sure these issues will be worked out for the normal people who waited a year, saved a hundred bucks and had a game bundled in with it.

See PS3 slim.

I'm happy I got my PS3 when I did, because it had backwards compatibility. But I see no reason to be an early PS4 adopter. I'll wait another year.

Yeah I hate how I can't play PS2 games on my PS3, but I've heard too many horror stories how early PS3's crapped out on people.

YLOD, you yellow bastard you.

I got soooo lucky with my PS3. I've played on it more than any other console I've ever owned, and never had any problems with it in the slightest.

It was destiny.

My PS3's been running hard for ages now and never had an issue. Then again, it it one of the software-based emulation consoles and thus came out like 5 months later.

Will be waiting for the hardware revision for the PS4, too. Pick up some launch day titles cheap on ebay mid next year. Maybe they'll bring out a new version of the controller with a bigger battery, too, like the dualshock for the PS3.

So here's an update on Battlefield 4 crashing constantly. This may have not actually be EA's fault. This may be Sony's fault and here's why. I can't remember where I read it, but the game Resogun's save date somehow corrupt's Battlefield 4. Obviously, delete your Resogun saved data. Before you delete it, upload to the online storage. This seems to work just fine for me now. I've opened and closed the Battlefield 4 application with no crashes whatsoever. I'll update this if it does crash again.

i bought mine about a month ago and haven't had many problems with it. It froze a couple of times after update 1.70 came out but it wasn't anything major. It's currently collecting dust though. I'm playing Hitman: Absolution on my PS3 waiting for Wolfenstein to launch on the 20th.

I bought my PS4 at launch last year. So far I've only had one freeze and that's when playing Infamous: Second Son.
