Hi everyone, just wondering what you are playing for MMOs these days? I took a bit of a break but am trying to get back in. I last played DC Universe a few years ago, and now have started up again with Wind of Luck (windofluck.com). It's a fun naval battle/pirate type MMO.

So, what else do you guys recommend I try out?

Yeah SW:ToR would just be too painful because I remember how awesome galaxies was before they started messing with it. Wildstar looks cool - thanks Smile

GW2 is fun, I also might get back into Rift because of the new free xpac coming out.

WoW is and probably will be the only MMO to keep me hooked for longer than 2 weeks or so.

I used to play City of Heroes/Villains so much back in the day. It was my favourite MMO. It was sad day for me when CoH closed down for good.

I played World of Warcraft for two weeks but got bored of it, but I do love that game's soundtrack and art direction.

I'm playing the ArcheAge open beta and the game is alright so far. I'm just kinda rushing through the intro areas til I get to the real deal but the combat reminds me a bit of GW2 as I play my rogue/archer guy.

Unless it's a huge grind to start being a pirate or P2W upon release (its f2p model) I prob won't stick with it. But if the videos online are any indication of how cool it's going to be I'm all about it.

Yeah, i also recommend archeage. But as of the moment you can't play the game. It will free launch on sept 16. But if your will to pay, you can start on 12 as a headstart.

Turns out the "labor" points system is where the P2W comes in. Labor points let you do actions (plant/harvest crops, open loot bags, etc) and unless you buy labor potions to get labor points you can sit around the game and do nothing until you get 1 labor point per 5 minutes (I think). After reading about this I officially boycot ArcheAge. It had so much potential until they got greedy.

No, you have to be online to gain labor points.

Yeah Matrix Online looked fun, never got a chance to play - its unfortunate how some games get abandoned especially after so many people invest in them. It would be great of some of these could be open sourced at some point.

I am still trying to decide (thanks for all the great feedback!)

Here is how I have made out with Wind of Luck so far (it's been really fun)

I will have to give archage a go Smile
