After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

So, can any of you guys actually run this properly?

Because seriously, 1280x720@15-25FPS is ridiculous.

Some games run absolutely atrocious on my monitor. I know it's my monitor, because I've plugged my computer into two TVs, both 1080p, 60Hz, and seen the difference.

Skyrim won't reach 60fps on my monitor, but it will on a TV.

When I first played Far Cry 3 on my old monitor, on high settings, it worked fine. I plugged it into this one, and it lagged like Call of Duty.

I ran it properly with 680 sli but there are areas in the game that arn't optimized and cause frame rate dips. This is with every maxed out at 1080p including nvidia physx. I love the dynamic wind physx creates.

I was getting about 44-55 FPS.

2k resolution
AF 4X
Tesselation - High
Advanced PhysX enabled
Settings very high

Shut off the SSAO or whatever it is they use in it (can't recall if it's SSAO or something else) as that caused a massive FPS drop.

Lol, no. They're minimized, with PhsyX and SSAO off. All the lowest settings, 720p and it still goes between 60FPS in nice indoor areas to 15FPS in outdoor hectic areas.

Got my 2500k up at 4.8ghz and my 6870 up another 17mhz on the core, and still last light runs like a pig.

Might try dropping it into DX9 mode to see if it becomes playable.
