| They forgot Urban Terror. It's a free FPS that runs on the Q3A engine and it's basically Counter-Strike, except with faster gameplay. |

| Warning- some of that stuff might contain malware or even a virus. Please be careful when downloading something from an unknown and unsecured location. |

| Do they all have to be MMOs? I'm pretty tired of looking at mediocre Korean MMOs that keep flooding the (free to play MMO) market. |

Here is one I discovered. It might be in the list might not. The game is called Assault Cube and it is" ..an 19MB small, 56k modem capable, OpenSource, multiplayer Shooter". I downloaded this and played it and it isn't that bad. It is really only good for people with extremely low spec computers, students with a computer class and have free time allowing them to stick this game on their memory stick and play it. Even for college kids who don't want to pay attention in class and want to play a FPS that doesn't eat up their computer/laptop. In other words it's a cool very low spec game that is perfect to put on a memory stick and have on you where ever you go that computers/laptops are located. Try it out. I use it in my web design class at school whenever we have free time and everyone loves it. Here is the link: http://assault.cubers.net/ It works on Mac Linux and windows.
EDIT: forgot to mention it has singleplayer bots and can play LAN games. and gaming via internet servers. Also you can create your own levels in game. The game features:
4 primary weapons: assault rifle, smg, shotgun, sniper rifle
pistols and dual pistols, grenades (can be picked up in different spots on the map)
deathmatch with up to 32 bots
one shot one kill (snipers only) with up to 32 bots
supposely CTF
The game does not give you the controls so I'll tell you:
w-a-s-d movement
spacebar jump
e edit mode
1-2-3-4 weapons
mouse click 1 fire
mouse click 2 zoom with sniper rifle
Esc in game menu
Enjoy! if I find anything else I'll say _________________ My Gamertag:

Like I said when I was describing it I suggested it for people with low spec computers, students, who have a computer class, can use it when they have free time on a computer, people with jobs with a computer of their own and have some free time on their hands. I don 't suggest people who have computers that can play Cyrsis or Battlefield 2142 to play this. _________________ My Gamertag: |

I am Stickying this. Please keep the games to Shareware, Free, Open Source, Beta or Flash games.
If I see any Roms, Pirated games or Torrents that link to material that should be paid for I'll lock this topic very fast.
Thanks! |

here is the link to the website for that game. http://www.urbanterror.net/news.php
the game features these game modes:
* Free for All (FFA, DM)
* Team Deathmatch (TDM)
* Team Survivor (TS)
* Capture the Flag (CTF)
* Capture and Hold (CAH, C&H)
* Follow the Leader (FTL)
* Bomb Mode (BM)
dated graphics but good for people with low spec computers or wanna game on the go with a laptop and not a lot of space _________________ My Gamertag:

"To kick the their anniversary celebration, EA has provided the original Command & Conquer Gold as a free download, compatible for Windows XP! This is the same version included with the collectors pack Command & Conquer: The First Decade, and is now available for you to download for free!" Straight from fileplanet all you need is a free fileplanet account. so go and download and command the crap out of the GDI or NOD
Command & Conquer The First Decade - Full Game

Command and Conquer first decade GDI ISO
http://www.fileplanet.com/180462/180000/fileinfo/Command-&-Conquer-Gold---Full-Game-(GDI-ISO)
I remember just click the first link and download that
Enjoy!
EDIT: the links won't work so just copy and paste or go to Fileplanet.com and search for command and conquer the first decade and go to game clients _________________ My Gamertag: |

GTA and GTA2 were made free to the public some time after Vice City's release. They can be found here.
edit: PC Only. |
