When it comes to shooters, weapon design is usually considered a very important feature. However, they are generally only rated on what they look like and how original they are. But I do not believe that those are particularly important compared to how useful each gun is. One thing that has continually bothered me is that most FPS games follow a linear path in which the only real difference in each gun is how much damage it does.
