In a lot of ways, Controller Deadzone is similar to camera sensitivity settings in that it deals with the sensitivity of one particular function. The function it controls is that of your car's movement.

For example, the default Controller Deadzone Rocket League setting is 0.3. 0.3 Controller Deadzone means that you must move the thumbstick of your controller at least 30 percent in a certain direction for your car to go that way. Turning the Controller Deadzone up or down increases or decreases the percentage necessary to move the car in a specific direction.
