Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle

Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle Bug Fix: How to Start and Complete This Main Quest (Update)

Following up immediately after The Hunt Begins, you will find yourself faced with the next main quest: Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle. Beyond being fantastically named for a quest, it is pretty literal in nature. There is a ginger named Ginger that is in a bind and you must find him. Of course, being that this is a huge RPG with branching choices and decisions, there are some optional objectives you can complete and significant choices for you to make as you complete Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle. Without further ado, let’s get started with our walkthrough on finding this poor ginger.

Update: Unfortunately, as of patch 1.2.5 there’s a Ginger in a Pickle bug in Kingdom Come that makes starting the quest impossible. Luckily we have a bug fix that will let you roll back the glitch introduced in update 1.2.5 so you can continue the game.

Kingdom Come Deliverance: Ginger in a Pickle Bug Fix: How to Start the Quest

If you installed Kingdom Come patch 1.2.5 and you find yourself unable to start the Ginger in a Pickle quest you’re going to have to roll back your install. The first thing you’ll want to do is create a backup of the game, and your save files. Once you’ve done that you can open the Steam console and enter the following: download_depot 379430 379432 1574197374724500814.

Once you enter the above line into the Steam console, Kingdom Come will roll back to version 1.2. What you need to do then is finish The Hunt Begins quest, and after you complete it, Ginger in a Pickle should begin as usual. You can then save your game a quit. Once you’re back to your desktop, copy your backup of Kingdom Come over the install in your Steam folder. When prompted, just press “Yes” to overwrite.

If everything worked out right, you should be back on Kingdom Come version 1.2.5 and have the Ginger in a Pickle quest started.

How to Complete Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle

Your first objective when starting Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle will be to speak with the Coal Burners to the south. You can easily find the Coal Burners by following the road just south of Neuhof. You will quickly come to the Charcoal Camp and you will need to speak with the Spokesperson there. If it is nighttime, you will most likely need to skip ahead and wait until morning.

While speaking with the Spokesperson for the Coal Burners, you can go ahead and select any option you would like as it won’t affect the outcome. The result is the same no matter which you choose since the Spokesperson knows nothing about where Ginger is. He will direct you to speak with northern Coal Burners in the second part of Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle.

Find the Northern Coal Burners

Kingdom Come Deliverance Battle

Though it is a large area to search in the woods, you can easily complete this second objective of Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle by just going to the clearing on the southern middle end of the area you are searching on the map. It is near the river and just to the east of the road, so in between them basically.

Speak with the Spokesperson just like with the Southern Coal Burners and pick whatever you would like. He will direct you to the third objective of Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle. To reach the third Coal Burners camp, simply follow the marker that is automatically put on your map.

Major Decision Time

Now, this is the most important part of the whole Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle main quest. While speaking with the third Coal Burner, you will be given a major decision that may seem not that important but it is if you want to keep the quest as short as possible and if you are looking to collect all of the game’s trophies.

He will tell you about a group of bandits that you will need to kill. You are given two options: the first is to lie and say that they are already dead or agree to go and kill them. We hope you’ve been raising your Speech skill just a little because we recommend that you lie. This will skip another objective and keep you on the track to getting the Merciful trophy. However, if you have to kill the bandits for Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle, simply go to their camp and kill the two of them.

Finding the Ginger in a Pickle

With all of that out of the way, you are now ready to complete Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle. This missing boy is in a hut just north of that third camp you are in. Head directly north and you will find the hut. Ginger will ask about the bandits and you must lie once again if you are still planning on getting that trophy.

From there, travel back to Neuhof and speak with Captain Bernhard to complete Kingdom Come Deliverance Ginger in a Pickle. For more help on these quests, keep it locked here.
