Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

APB Gets Caught, Gets Death Sentence

Posted on Thursday, September 16 @ 18:38:42 Eastern by
All Points Bulletin, the MMO that sunk Realtime Worlds, is going the way of Tabula Rasa.

Posting today on APB.com, community officer, Ben Bateman, announced today that APB was going to be closed at an undisclosed time. Here's the quote:

APB has been a fantastic journey, but unfortunately that journey has come to a premature end. Today we are sad to announce that despite everyone's best efforts to keep the service running; APB is coming to a close. It's been a pleasure working on APB and with all its players. Together we were building an absolutely amazing game, and for that, we thank you. You guys are awesome!
From all of the Realtime World staff we thank you for your continued support. The servers are still up, so join the party and say goodbye!
- Ben 'APBMonkey' Bateman (Community Officer)

I gotta be honest. I was really excited for APB. I thought the idea sounded fantastic and I could wait to see if this MMO, this one MMO, could finally sink its hooks into me unlike any other. Then I played the beta.

I took everything I saw and did with a grain of salt, playing in a beta obviously cannot present a complete experience. Nevertheless, my hopes were dashed. I doubt I'll ever play an MMO seriously.

You can read more of the developers own words on the matter by clicking through to APB's web portal. Get at it while it's still there.

It's kind of a shame, really. It was starting to be a little more playable. Right off the bat there were some major balancing issues which, because they made the learning curve much more steeper, didn't let the game start on the right foot. Honestly, though, it had the most potential of any recent MMO I can think of. Too bad they couldn't get their **** together quick enough.

I didn't even know the game had been released. My friends and I had discussed playing this, as the concept of online customizable GTA sounded fun. Then it disappeared and I guess we missed the release and failure. A shame.
