REVIEWSGRiD 2 Review
Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.
State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...
I can't help but laugh... and laugh... and laugh. Letrush just seems confused.
Hm?
As if he had no idea what he's just done. Look at that fucking bear just nodding at him. I'd be just as confused. "Here I am attacking this goddam human on a horse and he decides to hook his feet around the horse's ears for a good a spin."
These glitches are absolutely fantastic. The best part? Just before Letrush pulls off his acrobactic feet he's nice enough to let us know.
Hey!
Let's just hope he doesn't take an arrow in the knee. It would ruin his career.
It blows my mind. Why are we so forgiving to Skyrim? Imagine is Link did that on Epona, or if The Wanderer did that on Aggro. Are we just content with Bethesdas buggy crap? Should we not demand more? Oh well, Skyrim is waiting.
the industry now has us buying DLC bundle packs for games that haven't been released yet with content already on the game disc itself anythings acceptable nowadays.
I completely agree with you Imnickson. The same kinds of problems were common in Fallout 3 as well. I'm not playing Skyrim, but my wife is, and her game crashes regularly (I hear about it every time it does.) We only give Bethesda a pass on this, because the game is otherwise stellar. But yes, I don't think they SHOULD get a pass just because of that. When a game is expected to sell as much as Skyrim was, and subsequently DID, I expect better QA than they provide.
I think thats the problem. We are all looking at these many glitches and saying, HAHA thats funny. But the reality of the situation is that Bethesda released a glitch mess of a game, and what makes that worse is...THEY KNOW THEY DID. There is no wya their QA team did not get any of these many many glitches. They just said hey its not a big deal we are going to skip it. How many mammoths have to rain from the heavens (yes that happen in my game) before they decide to fix the problem. And the biggest culprit, the game saving glitch in the PS3 version is a known issue from Fallout 3. Bethesda even admitted it was an issue and decided not to fix it.
Sandbox style games generally are buggier. Red Dead Redemption also had frequent and hilarious bugs for example, and I even ran into a couple major ones in Batman: Arkham City. I don't know anything about designing games but maybe it's harder to make the code airtight in a sandbox game? Either way we forgive them because the games overall are amazing and we know if it were an easy fix it would have been fixed so we forgive them and wait for the patch.
