FEATURED VOXPOP oblivion437     In all the talk of graphical downgrades no one seems much preoccupied with 'why?'.  Why build something and then proceed to tear it down, piece by piece, in the hope that ever more diminished expectations about the final product won't be severe enough to...

DAILY MANIFESTO

Beta Key Giveaway

Posted on Friday, April 17 @ 18:04:30 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
Here at GR we love giving away stuff. It just makes us feel all warm and gushy inside. Like Santa on Christmas, or the Easter Bunny after he's crapped out the last chocolate egg of the season.

But sometimes we want something in return. This is one of those times.

Sony Online Entertainment has been generous enough to provide us with 10 beta keys for their new family-friendly MMORPG, Free Realms. Essentially you dress however you want and do whatever you want. Be a ninja one day, and a pirate the next (blasphemous, I know, but possible). Play games online, beat the crap out of monsters, or just do whatever. This might be the most laid back online game you've ever seen.

But it's the weekend and we are easily amused, so you're not going to get one of these precious beta keys for nothing. Nope. You've got to write us a haiku about why you think you deserve to win. Those are the 5,7,5 style poems. I'll give you an example to get you going:

No one shall win this
You are not clever enough
to make a poem.

Leave your work of art in the comments section below and be prepared to find out if you've won in Monday's Daily Manifesto. And good luck!

Also, for amusement, you should check out Crave's Best & Worst Batman Games of all Time. Blatant plug? Yes. But it's actually a decent piece (although they forgot Batman Returns for the Sega CD, which was way ahead of its time).

Oh, and did you notice the Crave bar is gone from the top of GR? Yes, things are changing once again.
