The recent release of Evolve and The Order 1886 really got me to thinking about the disparity between the perspective of sales-driven publishers and the quality-driven purchases of consumers. The “Hype Train” is nothing new, but the way it is utilized has been creating far more...

DAILY MANIFESTO

Capcom Gamers Day

Posted on Friday, April 13 @ 21:49:42 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
Yesterday was Capcom's big Gamers Day event, although I wasn't allowed to talk about any of the games until now. And there's one more game I still can't talk about until May 1st. Let's just say that makes me want to cry.

But they did show us a ton of stuff including some really solid support for the Wii, and I have a ton of screenshots for you and videos on the way, so without further ado....

Lost Planet is coming to the PC with enhanced graphics and super-HD support. [SCREENS]

Monster Freedom Hunter 2 for the PSP is already a huge hit in Japan. With really cool graphics, huge weapons and positively enormous monsters, this might have been my favorite thing that I saw. [SCREENS] [VIDEOS]

Did you know it's Mega Man's 20th birthday? Mega Man Star Force was a pretty cool looking tactical RPG for the DS that encourages co-op play. [SCREENS] [VIDEOS]

Mega Man ZX Advent was another DS entry, this one was a more classic Mega Man action game. [SCREENS]

Phoenix Wright - Trials & Tribulations is making its way from Japan to a courtroom near you. I DO NOT OBJECT! [SCREENS]

Speaking of lawyers, Capcom is going to be making a Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law game. I don't know whether to be excited or scared.

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition might be a port, but it featured some cool technology to steady that damn Wii pointer so you can aim. Cool. [SCREENS] [VIDEOS]

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is an original game for the Wii, and functions more like a classic light-gun game. Think House of the dead in the Resident Evil universe. [SCREENS] [VIDEOS]

Finally, Project Treasure Island Z (working title) stars an all new character for the Wii, Zack the pirate. This adventure is all about using the Wiimote in strange ways in order to solve puzzles. [SCREENS]

Add to that the fact that Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo (one of my favorites) are both coming to Xbox Live with enhanced HD graphics, and that's a lot of cool stuff.

Happy Birthday Mega Man!
