“I’m just glad you wore something that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty,” Rose chirped at Jack.

And so was he. He didn’t mind getting a little dirty. Admittedly, he was pretty excited to clean a mansion. After coming face to face with bullet firing turrets, Jack was ready to just do a little light dusting and vacuuming. He was also excited because he had never been to a mansion before. He wondered if the place would have a dumbwaiter…or a bidet...

Ahem.

Jack broke out of his reverie to see Rose pointing out the window.

“Your ride is here. Hope the job doesn’t bite,” she said with a smile.

Outside sat a helicopter, the spinning blades causing dust to fly everywhere. “Wow,” Jack exclaimed, “they sent a helicopter! This mansion dude must be loaded!” But as he scrambled out the door, he came to a halt. Through the thick dust he could make out a large emblem on the side of the helicopter. An emblem that completely wiped the grin off of his face. This wasn’t what he had originally been planning, but he had already accepted the assignment. And it was paying better than minimum wage, so he climbed on board.

Inside the leader of the team, Wesker, greeted him and started briefing Jack on the situation. He knew it back to front of course. Strange occurrences, situations involving cannibalism, and a whole team of highly trained policemen missing. This would be easy, it was one of his speed runs after all. But Jack knew what he really wanted to do. However, Wesker was armed to the teeth and probably capable of killing him without the aid of a weapon. On top of that they hadn’t even issued him a weapon yet.

As Wesker droned on about the situation, Jack noticed Barry looking at him. “What is this? What is it? What is that,” he asked pointing at the various items on Jack.

“Umm, is he alright?” Jack asked the woman next to him.

“What? Oh…Barry…he’s taken a lot hits over the years. He can still handle a gun pretty well, but we mostly keep him around for the laughs,” Jill said quietly.

“Hey, you two, enough whispering in the corner. You’d think you were plotting some kind of evil scheme,” Wesker pompously laughed, “and besides, we’ve arrived at Raccoon City. It’s time to get suited up and find Bravo Team. So, kid, what else would you like besides this?” And with that he handed Jack a handgun and some bullets.
