    Once you get past the middle 20s gaming together in person is a rare occasion. Your friend with a newborn can still get online and play a bit with you and your buddies and not suffer the wrath of new mommy. PC still wins, let us join hands and sing Tiny!

    Almost every PC vs. Console argument sounds like this to me:

    "Vanilla is the superior flavour!"
    "No chocolate is!"
    "Vanilla is caffeine free and tastes delicious."
    "Chocolate has caffeine and is more delicious!"

    "Guys! Come on, you're being ridiculous. Can't you see what this silly fight is doing to you two? Besides, caramel is the clear winner."

    Fuck you, strawberry is clearly the dominant flavor, and the fact the pink pigment is created from tiny insects makes it just more awesome. Google cochineal bugs.

    PC = CPU + OS + GPU + Hard Drive + DVD + Memory + Monitor + Keyboard + Mouse

    Console = CPU + OS + GPU + Hard Drive + DVD + Memory + TV + Controller

    Real big difference? No? If both bought on the same day the Console is already 2 years outdated.

    There's a lot of money involved to make sure PC gaming will never be on fair ground with the consoles.

    slmao if someone was smart they would make a console with mouse and keypad controller with rumble in mouse then you would havve ability to aim more precise
    the ease of sending messages by typing to your online buddies
    plus makes internet browsing alot easier.
    the final part would be your console ability to run all third party content on consoles without updating new pc parts to play games all the time thus savinng money for potentially 3 years or more

    Not really. My PC can max anything and it was around $750 and PC games are MUCH cheaper.

    I set up a PC for Battlefield 3 after being console only for 6-7 years and havn't gone back. Been kept busy SW:TOR, Portal 2, Skyrim, Bastion, Witcher 2, Deus Ex, Tribes, Frozen Synapse, Team Fortress 2, Dead Island, Terraria, OBVS Diablo 3 and with Streetfigher x Tekken and Dirt 3 as well I have every genre base covered for anything I feel like playing.

    Been building budget AMD PC's for my actual real life friends too for about 700AU that play everything and basically converting everyone I can to PC, it's just more logical especially for my friends who are getting older... I am really excited with some new games like CS:GO and seeing what happens with MMO's once people finally get sick of WoW. And the hardware is exciting too with PCIE 3's 16 GBPS bandwith allowing that much throughput the latest cards don't even touch the sides.

    I love my PS3 exclusives but PC is where its at right now more broadly, every multi plat game is better on PC. Full stop. Period. The End.

    My younger brother and particularly my flatmate are PC gamers whereas im a console player, i realise that for RPG games the PC will win hands down, due to mods and ease of navigation through menu's.

    However i much prefer playing shooters on my console. I know that everyone will say that playing on a PC lets you play bigger maps with more players (BF3) and that aiming with a mouse and keyboard is more precise, but to me that's why i don't like it! I love playing shooters with a controller in my hand on a game like Killzone 2 where you can't crank up the sensitivity too high so it feels like you are having to wrench a heavy gun around, i love that connection and for me it really helps draw me into the game, as opposed to the lightweight rapid twitchy movements you get from a mouse and keyboard, to me it just kills the atmosphere a little, but hey thats just me!

    Plus all of my mates from school/college/uni have consoles, and only one has a gaming PC

    And plug a mouse/keyboard into a console. But you just dont do it, you can't blur the lines.

    You CAN, but it's unlikely to do anything in 90% of games. Whereas I use a controller on my PC pretty regularly for games that benefit from it.

    Yea i know i could do that but why would I? It would allow me to play with a controller on a lower sensitivity but when everyone around me is using the more sensitive, highly tuned mouse and keyboard combination i wouldn't be able to compete with their reaction times. Whereas on my playstation everyone i play with is in the same boat, unless they're playing with a move controller which has the effect of killing an online shooter because of the difference in how fast people are able to react, Killzone 3 was a good example of this, and in my opinion one of the reasons it wasn't as fun to play as Killzone 2.

    Mouse and keyboard are the golden standard for FPS, RPG, and RTS games. You just cant beat the precision and speed. This comic illustrates this to me by "click". Console games own sports and social gaming (though I have developed online friendships with the PC games).

    If I had to pick I can't since both have brought me equal joy. PC has the power to play the big ones, consoles have the comfort of the couch, and both have the ability to bring elation in playing a game.

    You forgot the panel where you tried to play Diablo 3 single-player and the server went down... or tried to play Assassin's Creed 2, and Ubisoft is having server trouble. You also forgot the panel where you tried to install a game, and it installed Origin... or one where you get banned from a forum, and suddenly you can't play any games from that publisher.

    Or the time Sony was hacked and let you know about it much much later. Or when Xbox Live accounts were being hacked and they denied it or screwed around rather than help people out. But when it comes to the negatives of what the jackasses among gamers, game devs, or big game companies do we all get screwed over equally. We are all brothers and sisters, with empty wallets, clenched asses and angry fists shaking at a percentage of any gaming news we hear.

    The more it gets about squeezing every dollar they can out of us and the fact in some situations even a percentage of the consumers who buy w/e will label it a success even if the majority is against it has given us some terrible friggin decisions across the board. The veil of the dark side has fallen... oh, and people are eating peoples faces and throwing their intestines at cops apparently...irl.

    If I won the lottery Id buy them all but have a steady supply of medication to relieve the anger each systems library would eventually provide.
