After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Dark Souls II "Rogue Warrior" If Dark Souls Were a Cartoon, This Would Be Its Theme

veselekov offers this take on Dark Souls II where our hero sets out on the raddest possible quest to recover his girl, of course. It's a shame Far Cry 3 already went this route given how attractive a retro-VHS take on Dark Souls would be just as entertaining, if not more given From Software's habit of punishing players.

This video transforms Dark Souls II into something new and way more approachable... in that you don't actually have to play it. While I'd love watching someone take on every boss in Dark Souls, I don't know if I could stand watching someone do all that for the first time. So many deaths, so many broken controllers... such shameful displays of rage.

I loved Dark Souls, but I don't think I can climb the mountain that is Dark Souls II. I'm dying to see what's different, what new horrors From Software has cooked up, but I don't know if I'll ever finish the fight.

veselekov wants to know if fans want to see more episodes in this vein, presumably based on our roguish warrior in the video above. I certainly woudn't mind more so-good-it's-bad animation like this.

Dark Souls II is out on March 11th in the US (13th in Japan and 14th in Europe and Australia) on Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC release is planned for 2014 as well.
