After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Eat Burger King, Work it Off With Kinect

Posted on Monday, November 1 @ 12:03:14 PST by
Adding fuel to the fire of your nightmares, the Burger King King has decided that now would be an appropriate time to give away a bunch of Kinects. So what do I have to do to win?

According to bkkinect.bk.com, purchasing a Whopper Value Meal will net you three codes. You can then text the codes or enter them online. Consumption is not required. The Kinect prize pack consists of a new Xbox 360 4 GB console, a Kinect, Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports.

I'll be honest: I eat fast food. It's cheap and it's open 24 hours a day - that alone means it fits into my college student lifestyle. That said, I haven't bought a full "value meal" in years.

Presumably, you eat enough burgers, you win a bundle, then you work off all that terrible food with Kinect's motion sensing technology. I get it, marketing works. Here's a tip, though:

You can log on to the website and get six free codes to enter every day the contest is running! What? Just head over to bkkinect.bk.com, register, and then click on the button that says "Enter Your Codes Now!". At the bottom of that form will be a "No Purchase Necessary" link. They'll send you six codes in your e-mail.

Jus' sayin'.
