Editor's Pick - Bayonetta

[An Editor's Pick is a game chosen by a Game Revolution writer that, for some blasphemous reason, did not win a GR Award. For those games that don't even get a Editor's Pick, well, we're just mean like that. ~Ed.]



Sure, one could go the low road and think I'm picking this game because of all the boobage, but for once you'd be wrong. What I really loved about this game is that it brought back all the same fun and excitement that I had with Devil May Cry on PS2 oh-so many years ago and made it even better. It took a dying genre and infused it with new life.

Action-based hack and slash games have taken themselves way too seriously these last few years, but Bayonetta lampooned everything generic about them and gave you some great visuals and completely over-the-top moves to make the entire experience truly enjoyable. And think about it, Bayonetta came out the first week of January 2010 and I'm still recommending it to people. If that's not worth a pick, I don't know what is.
