Fancy Bean Bags
Posted on Wednesday, October 24 @ 20:53:09 Eastern by Duke_FerrisHere at GR we also get sent a lot of stuff that isn't games - robots, headphones, toys, jump drives, energy beverages, controllers, and the like. So I'm going to start looking at them.
For the next couple weeks, I'm going to try and get through a product a day, staring with the largest - the Sumo Omni, the self-proclaimed ultimate in bean bags.
The other day I arrived in the office to find the couch in the game room pushed to the back wall and a couple bean bags in it's place. They had arrived in my absence.
I have to say, they do seem like good bean bags. They're made of a heavy nylon material that , while not fuzzy, feels like it could withstand serious abuse and fend off a spilled beer or two. I was also surprised by how light they are.
So GR codemaster Blake helped with dishing out that abuse. Serious abuse.
The square shape is king of odd, like a giant bean bag from the bean-bag-toss. According to the website, sexy girls like to lounge on them in all positions, but for general gaming, using it like a chair is preferred. Your standard round beanbag is more naturally a chair, but just poke in a couple of those corners and the Sumo does the job just as well.
While $150 seems a bit steep to me for a bean bag (currently $129 on sale), if you have the means and your ass craves luxury, these actually do seem to be the best bags around.
