Game Not Called On Account Of Rain

There are so many cool things you can do now that all the game consoles go online, and EA has teamed up with the Weather Channel to prove it with real-time, real-life weather in NCAA Football '08.

So whenever you fire up a game, the time and weather will be the exact same as the current conditions at the real stadium. How cool is that?

The applications of this are almost limitless - I would love to see it featured in the next iterations Pirates, Civilization, and Command & Conquer, for example. It should definitely be part of any new racing sims, like the future versions of Project Gotham Racing, or Test Drive Unlimited (Damn you, Hawaii!!!).

And come Hurricane season (pun intended), You can better bet that Miami is suddenly going to become my new favorite team. Can you say 99 yard field goal with 110 mph winds at your back? Awesome.
