Didn't know there was a new Star Trek game in development. I really hope it's good. I'm a big Star Trek fan (I've seen every movie and TV episode including the 70s Scooby Dooesque cartoon), but the vast majority of Star Trek games over the years have been complete crap with only a few exceptions. I think the Google glasses and the whole augmented reality thing would lead to a reverse "They Live" situation in the future where you take the glasses off and all of the signs, billboards, etc. are blank with just a black & white bar code or something on them. I don't think there's going to be an Apple console, probably just some sort of gaming edition of the iPhone/iPad. They'll probably be able to get people to pay an extra $100 or whatever for one that has a better GPU and comes with some sort of controller. I guess my "Would You Rather" question was a little more interesting to me because I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy, but I really liked Daniel's variation of "What if you were born a nobody". I would choose Mass Effect either way, and I would probably just end up running around and living completely nude on the streets of Thessia either way.
Anthony brings up a very good point. Nintendo seems to be underestimating how invested people are with their current consoles. Most journalists seem to be very pessimistic about the Wii U while giving good arguments backing up that sentiment. So it's definitely not looking good for Nintendo. Then again that's been said in the past about them yet they (almost) always end up doing great. Personally, I'm hoping for a huge reveal at E3 with the rumors turning out to be a marketing ploy. Fun podcast, specially with Anthony embracing his fanboyism. *tee-hee*
