Yup, unless the game doesn't allow for it. It's a lot like in-game muting in Halo. You can scroll to the other player on the scoreboard and hit a button to mute.
So, I did actually take the Origin survey and was sent the generic code that didn't work. They've since sent unique codes to everyone, but there are like all of 12 games on Origin that it will work with. Unless I want to overpay for Amalur (even after the discount), I can't use the code on any of the stuff I want. Screw you EA!
