LATEST FEATURESEverything I Learned About Call of Duty: Ghosts Last Week
I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

Awesome podcast. Anthony is going to get frozen in the blizzard, thawed a thousand years in the future, and then go on an epic quest to find a PS4.
I REALLY don't like the idea of either console being too tied to the internet. In the case of Microsoft, it's just a total dick move to require an always-online internet connection. In Sony's case, cloud gaming just isn't going to work in this country for most people due to our crappy internet access and speeds. The recommended connection speed for cloud gaming is currently 8 Mbits (1 Mbyte) per second. Most people in the US do not have that nor do they have access to it, and that number will just keep going up as games become more advanced. Latency also becomes even more of an issue too.
To answer my own question, I've always imagined controlling games with our own brainwaves, like those prosthetic limbs. We'll probably have virtual-reality headsets for consoles, or something.
Good Show this week. You forgot to mention that the PC will be the ultimate winner. no longer will it be held back by developers making weak powered games so they will run on ancient console hardware as well. We will still also get higher frame rates.
I finished deadspace 3 although I played it alone. to be honest the story came off as a bit flat.Textures are low res and I don't just mean dirty looking, and the game absolutely pissed me off at the end. I can not stand being forced to the end of the final level, then being told to backtrack through the whole long level and then being forced through the level again and back track again! In the end I was frustrated, annoyed and disappointed.
Cool things in the game though. It supports new fxaa3.11 ,SSAO and 120hz. And best, first half of the game had awesome flying sequences. Including jetting around in SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At a great time listening. I'm thinking of selling my Xbox and all my games and keep PS3 just for The Last of Us. Can anyone tell me its a good idea so I just do it?!?!
PS3 is really the only console with exclusives to get excited about at this point, but I wouldn't sell anything. You won't get back what you've out into that Xbox 360.
Nick's DLC answer was pretty much my take on the best and worst thing this generation brought us, too.
I love the idea of adding to my favorite games, I love the idea of bugs being fixable... But I HATE how many games these days are shipped in broken, glitch-laden states, as if that's okay. It's not. This is why I generally avoid Bethesda and Ubisoft games for several months or years. And I hate, as I have said in column form, "DLC" being locked already on the disc. That's just abuse of your customers right there, like a waitress pouring you a drink, but you only get charged if you drink it. You already dumped it out of the bottle into my cup and you can't take it back...so what's the problem?
