REVIEWSGRiD 2 Review
Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.
State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?
LATEST FEATURESXbox 180 And The New Coke
Did Microsoft just pull a 1985 Coca-Cola on the world? Was the "Xbox 180" an eleborate marketing scheme? I examine.
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

No backwards compatibility next-gen actually bothers me. There's still exclusive games for both consoles that I want to play, but I currently don't have a functioning PS3 or 360 and I'm certainly not going to buy another one at this point. Whichever next-gen console has backwards compatibility is probably going to get my money first.
I am assuming you have the current gen systems. Why not just keep those and hook them up when you want to play those games. Hell even computers cant play really old games. I would rather not have backward compatibility if it means cheaper system. Though if the game becomes a download and you own it, you should be able to download it for free on next gen. Like I own Jet Set Radio for dreamcast but shouldnt have to buy it on PS3 store.
Maybe, eventually. I view backwards compatibility as padding each new console's launch. If my choice is between a 720 with a handful of launch titles or a PS4 with a handful or launch titles PLUS the ability to immediately play a bunch of PS3 games, I'm going to go with the PS4 in this case.
