I am sincerely hoping that the Wii U turns out to be great and brings me back into the Nintendo fold, but I just don't see it happening right now based on what I know & what I've seen. Forget all other consoles current & future, forget about PC gaming; I just want Nintendo to make a console worth owning again. I want some "Wow!"-factor again when I pop in the new Mario or Zelda for the first time. As of right now, I'm just not seeing it. My prediction is that it's just going to be another Vita. Hope I'm wrong.

That's my main reason for excitement. I think part of the Wii's failing, at least in my use, was that I had another console that just looked BETTER, performed FASTER, and was generally more capable. I hope the Wii U does that for the classic nintendo franchises too.
