    Tauren in fantasy form.

Rytlock in-game. The Tauren models are terrible.

Great podcast everyone. Anyone who is into MMOs should play GW2, and anyone thinking about starting an MMO should just go with GW2. I've played most of the major MMOs at some time or another, and GW2 is by far my favorite. I only have some minor gripes about the game that mostly concern convenience (group finder, marking in dungeons, etc.) and are all easily patchable.

I can't wait for the patch process to begin. It'll only further cement the game in excellence. They've laid such an amazing base. Could be Game of the Year.

You get what you pay for. There's some awesome features in the game, but it gets boring after a week or so.

How? You can immerse yourself in many elements. It has what I love in dungeon crawlers, mmos, and competive combat.

It's repetitive combat. Since the combat skills are based off weapons, you have them all within the first couple of levels. I really don't like the lack of tanking in dungeons either.

Whats wrong about having no tanking? Sure I complain about it all the time when I dungeon with Ed, but I find the trinity gone a good thing.

Yeah, the trinity gone is huge. Forces everyone to be self-reliable. Tanks use to just stand there and get healed to a hundred percent. Now everyone has to roll on huge attacks lest they be one-shotted/smashed to the other side of the screen. It really is a site to behold when you see those people used to stagnant mmos flinging because they think they can get away with button mashing. Plus, who ever thought a warrior would have an awesome ranged set as well as a melee set?! Casters with swords that actually are used in combat? Awesome!

What would you want added? I'm curious to hear what negatives people find with the game, considering my experience has been so positive.

Why are you bored? I've been 80 for a week and still find value in the game.

I think I only made it to 50, but there's just nothing that's special about the game that makes me want to keep playing. It has unique things I like, but nothing that makes the game exciting enough to make it enjoyable. SWTOR was more fun because at least the story was good enough to make me want to complete it.

Dang, I think it's about time to leave the Old Republic and pick up GW2. It sounds amaaaazing. (I picked up SWTOR a month or two ago when the Collector's Edition was $20 at Best Buy.) My biggest peeve with the game is that updates are coming in at a glacial pace, and that's with a monthly fee! Things BioWare promised as "Coming Soon!" in Spring are still absent.

Meanwhile, ArenaNet seems to be steadily fixing the issues with their game. Great value for a $60 price. Oh, why must developers continually screw the Star Wars IP?

SWTOR was my first MMO and was such a boring experience. I'm much more emanated with GW2, MMO or not. You should definitely pick it up.

This game has so many amazing elements that make it special it's hard to pick and choose which ones I like. Maybe it's the fact that the holy trinity is finally squashed which makes for exciting and dynamic combat? Or the fact that I can choose to level through crafting? There are many things that shape this into a great game and make you feel like have purpose. The Events system is one of those mechanics that will probably have a lasting effect on the MMO landscape for many years to come. ArenaNET has certainly outdone themselves with this sequel ( which doesn't even feel sequelish ), and the best part about all of this is, it doesn't burn a hole in my wallet with monthly fees. :D

All great points! I can't believe I'm still playing it. It's hard to keep my attention for as long as GW2 has.
