Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Gamestop's 2 For 1 Deal

Posted on Monday, August 9 @ 18:53:35 Eastern by
Gamestop's latest sale might not be the as great as it sounds.

Honestly, this is the best deal I've found on the site and Mirror's Edge isn't exactly GOTY 2007 (or whatever).  Wii and DS games are paired up with shovel ware, Xbox 360 and PS3 pack selections are slim (usually with games tied to movie cash-ins), and I won't even go near the PSP page.

OK, so you can also land a deal on The Force Unleashed and Tomb Raider Underworld, but I expect better than this.  Half.com, Ebay, Craigslist, and tons of other sites will net you much better deals on games as old as the ones Gamestop has on offer here.

I gotta be honest though.  I really liked Mirror's Edge.  I might catch some flack around the office for it and I don't have any problems admitting that the game is flawed, and what the hell is up with the animated cutscenes?  But honestly, I loved Mirror's Edge.  I'd buy a sequel in an instant.  Make it happen EA/DICE.

Anyone planning on picking one of these game combos up?

At the last sale, I got Tatsu vs Capcom, Alan Wake, and Heavy Rain for like $100 total. It was a pretty good deal.

That's not bad actually. How much do they fare by themselves? $20 each?

I'm not saying Gamestop has the clearest moral standing in my mind, but why wouldn't you shop somewhere if they have a good deal on a product you're interested in buying? Like it or not, they're a massive retailer in the games industry and they do have some sway with publishers.

Yes, I believe by itself, Mirror's Edge still hovers around $20 for a new copy, and I have no clue what Fracture is priced at, but it makes sense for it to be the same, what with this deal being 2 for 1.

I much prefer the EB Games "2 for $60" deals they had a while back.

Both times I've taken advantage of it, I've ended up getting a great console game well above the price, along with a semi-decent PC game which costs on it's own the same amount as the deal price.
