The only thing that stops the dust is the rain. It’s a sweet reprieve, but there is no middle ground. The land is either as dry as the Betty Ford clinic, or as wet as the ocean floor. Everything can be seen from the ridge overlooking Armadillo as John Marston gently bounces along atop...

GDC 2011: Sucker Punch's Secret

Posted on Tuesday, March 1 @ 17:26:02 PST by Josh_Laddin

The internets were abuzz this second day of GDC about a "secret" from Sucker Punch Productions to be unveiled today. The secret was speculated to be about the upcoming title inFamous 2 - and that looks to be right on target. Chris Kohler of Wired tweeted minutes ago with info about user-generated levels in the sequel. The beta will also apparently begin next month with more info coming March 14.

At first glance it's tough not to see more than a little inspiration for the new feature coming from Little Big Planet. Kohler's tweets indicate that the user-created content will have varied gameplay: "You can have a 'shooting gallery' or platforming style missions as well as stuff that's more like the main game experience."

Even more intriguing is the assertion that "if your mission is played by a lot of people and highly rated, Sucker Punch will drop it into the single player game." An unexpected move to be sure, but it could be real awesome if done right.

GR's Daniel Bischoff is taking a look at inFamous 2 today, so more info may be on the way.

Update: Daniel has written up the full Little Big inFAMOUS story with more info, and a video to boot, here.
