GDC and IGF Awards Winners

As important as the Game Revolution Game of the Year awards are, once a year, we have to secede to the Game Developers Choice Awards. The Oscars of video games happen every year during the Game Developers Conference and last night, the winners were announced. Of course, we only give a nod to the GDC Awards this year because they agreed with us.
  • Innovation Award: Minecraft
  • Best Debut Game: Minecraft
  • Best Visual Arts: Limbo
  • Best Technology: Red Dead Redemption
  • Best Game Design: Red Dead Redemption
  • Game of the Year: Red Dead Redemption

The IGF award winners were also announced last night. Why should you care? Past IGF winners include Limbo, Heroes of Newerth, World of Goo, and Audiosurf.
