Gears Of War Board Game Coming to Crush Your Tabletop

Posted on Friday, May 20 @ 17:30:19 Eastern by Josh_Laddin

Are you tired of pussy games like Monopoly and Life taking up space on your shelf? Want a board game with massive amounts of testosterone? Well if Gears of War: The Board Game doesn't do it for you, then you probably ought to stop reading this and focus on hunting down some Predators instead. For the rest of us, the newly announced tabletop game from Fantasy Flight Games will have to suffice.

According to the forthcoming game's product page

One to four players take on the roles of COG soldiers cooperating to destroy the Locust horde, and must work together to complete missions against an ingeniously challenging and varied game system... Roadie Run into cover, spray your enemy with blind fire, or rip him in half with your Lancer’s chainsaw!

That's a lot of action to promise from a board game, but for $79.95 (more than the video games) it better be that exciting and then some! No release date's been given yet, so if you're interested, keep an eye on the product page every once in a while.

This has some potential. It might just top electronic Stratego (possibly the coolest board game out there)
