Girlfriend Deletes Level 80 WoW Characters

Posted on Wednesday, June 23 @ 13:47:25 Eastern by Duke_Ferris

Tired of being ignored, this girl deletes her boyfriend's World of Wacraft characters and records his reaction.

Frankly I think this is purely spiteful on her part. She could have just broken up with him (as clearly they are broken up now) without destroying something he loved. Perhaps the police should even arrest her? Think about it, if he spent all his time working on his 68' Vette instead of paying attention to her, and she torched the car, she'd go to jail.

    For 4 80s...
    fully geared...
Thats atleast 50 days TOTAL IN GAME TIME.
    PER CHARACTER.
She destroyed almost a full year of her life.
She should have to literally pay for his subscription, and any fees he needs for the game.

Even though Blizzard could probably get the characters back, he still managed to mess up half his computer. WAS IT WORTH IT, BITCH?

Thinking about it more, I don't think she should go to jail for this. The items and characters in game that she deleted can just be restored by a GM. I don't think the destruction of an object that doesn't technically exist is grounds for confinement. Plus, most judges would see how he reacted and have him go to those bullshit anger management classes or something. In the end, the only thing that was really destroyed was his computer, which he did himself.

I'm unsympathetic towards him even as a former WoW player. First, why share your password with anyone except maybe your kid? If she wants to play why not give her a different account? Second, he had to have seen signs of her displeasure. He could have smooth things out with her before going on another raid or not go on one for one night. Third, he smashed his computer over data that could be restored. He probably could have called Blizzard to restore his characters. I wish I have money to smash computers. I hope he chokes on his RAGE.

So, I agree with UglykitteN. I don't think she should go to jail because it's not like she torched a car, it's more like she smash a plastic cup from the dollar store. Should a person go to jail for smashing a cup that could easily be replaced?

Point of interest Cyberjim, he didn't share his password with her; he left his account logged in.

Ah, you're right. Then he probably should've logged off then. A quick alt + F4 saves time and prevents "accidents" from children and angry neglected girlfriends.

Every second of that video was painful as hell to watch. I mean, I haven't played in several months, but still...
OK, sure, maybe going batshit on his computer wasn't the BEST reaction. And what does this tell you about his girlfriend? She'd rather do something childish like that and piss him off royally than just talk to him about the problem? I'm willing to bet that relationship didn't last much longer after he found out what happened to be honest. Not really sure what kind of point I'm trying to make here actually. I can feel for the guy, but I can definitely understand why the girlfriend was irritated. Not sure if either reaction was really appropriate though.

Ok, so why does the monitor pay the consequences? He should have gone all kamehameha on the *****, THAT would have been fun to get on camera.

I can't believe there's this many comments and I'm the first one to say that this video has to be fake.
    a) Pretty much every "funny" wow video from the last few years is fake. The last genuine one I can remember is the Onyxia wipe video.
    b) She's going about the process suspiciously. She deletes 2 characters, then logs into one, deletes a bunch of his items, then deletes the character anyway? Senseless behavior and she's just milking the screen time.
    c) His reaction is way too over the top. Anyone with 4 level 80's would know that you can get them all restored by telling Blizzard you were hacked. No way he'd destroy a nice monitor for something rectifiable.
So all you guys commenting on right or wrong - don't waste your time, it's a fake vid.

Guys, really you are all idiots. This is staged FFS. I've read more idiot and useless comments here than the my entire life. Also to the people saying that he deserved it because he plays gnome, but really, are you serious? You judge a person based on what someone choose ina computer game? Are you dumb Cheesus? I just hope that you're joking. Anyways This is staged, and not true. You CAN have all back within hours, stop making idiots comments.
