Although Journey is an excellent experience.
Wow, who ever thought GOTY would be a toss-up between 2 downloadables?!

I look at The walking dead and think "been there, done that" in either Fallout or Heavy rain.

THE WALKING DEAD.
Both were amazing games for what they aspired to be and I highly enjoyed them. I most recently completed TWD, therefore it is at the forefront of my brain and gets my vote. Tough Choice though!! Thanks GR :-)

While both are great, I would like to take this opportunity to complain that I only very loosely consider them "games" because of the sheer lack of actual gameplay. They are both more like a narrative "gaming experience" than a true video game in my opinion.

Playing Walking Dead (also very good) right now but don't think it's gonna have the same impact as Journey. Just hearing the music of Journey even now still causes a emotional response. Anything that can craft this kind of a narrative without words is truly worthy of praise. That and it seems to be the underdog here.

To whoever chose that suspiciously Dishonored-looking zombie head as the art for TWD: You are a purveyor of false hope and poisoned dreams.

Well, I'll probably still send one, but the handwritten message on the interior will be terse and largely generic!

TWD was great, but Journey is on a whole other level in terms of pacing, aesthetic design and yes, even emotional weight.
