After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

GR Frags The Vote

Posted on Tuesday, November 4 @ 15:00:02 PST by Duke_Ferris
Here in the U.S. it's mid-election-day. A couple people have asked GR to take an official position and endorse a candidate.

Sorry, the only people we endorse are gamers, and since neither candidate has taken a stance on gaming (other than buying some in-game ads), GR has no opinion. I already voted, and I personally have an opinion, I'm just not sharing it.

However, some politicians up for election have expressed opinions about against video games, and have written or tried to enact censorship legislation. We officially anti-endorse those knuckleheads. For more detail on said politicians, head on over to Game Politics.

For the lazy, here they are: Roger Wicker (R-MS), Lee Terry (R-NE), Jim Matheson (D-UT), Fred Upton (R-MI), Betty McCollum (D-MN), Cliff Stearns (R-FL), Joe Baca (D-CA). What a bunch of jerks.

GR embraces all gamers, be they Red or Blue. Then we blow them up if they're on the other team.

Finally, you don't have to watch the whole thing (it get's preachy by the end) but you should at least get as far as "I’ve never done shit on drugs besides played Halo 2."

Edit: Blake wanted me to add this movie:
