LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Everything I Learned About Call of Duty: Ghosts Last Week

DAILY MANIFESTO

GR Release Round-Up 05/15/2011

Posted on Sunday, May 15 @ 18:12:52 Eastern by

I've never been arrested. I'd like to pretend like I'm some badass games journalist harassing the developers and publishers of your favorite games just to get the scoop, but I'm not. I ask questions politely. Sometimes I rant... sometimes I don't. This week I'll find out if I have what it takes to carry a badge. You'll find out too: I'd like to tell you that Game Revolution will give you the verdict on Team Bondi's open-world, crime-thriller on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games didn't get a copy to us in time and we'll be delivering L.A. Noire's grade to you later this week. The same goes for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. If you love us, you'll write a letter to all publishers everywhere and tell them how much you care about Game Revolution's opinion and that they need to get their games reviewed by GR!

Please? Won't you? You know what we did get into the office? Spongebob SquigglePants for the Nintendo 3DS. There's a game you really care about!

I'll be enjoying PSN access tonight and tomorrow before heading to 1947 Los Angeles. What'll you be picking up this week?

I think it's obvious what we will (want to) pick up this week.

I'm gonna have to sell some plasma or something to get L.A. Noire. I'd like to check out The Witcher 2 but my PC is kinda crappy for games so I'll have to wait 5 years when I get around to buying a new one.

@nihm: Agreed, I never played the first Witcher but sequels get my interest piqued.... Same goes for STALKER... never played that because my computer is outdated.

I'd like to get L.A. Noire, but something is telling me to wait a while on it. Perhaps the industry move to release complete, utlimate or GOTY editions down the road. I can wait for them. Besides I still have GTAIV and RDR to finish.

Just pre-ordered LA noire last night. If it even comes close to the story telling of RDR than it will have been money well spent. The Witcher 2 looks INCREDIBLE but I doubt it would run on a bootcamped macbook pro!

Yes! Witcher 2! My computer barely runs the first one and its enough to get me really stoked for the sequel. And I was sad to hear that you have never played STALKER, Daniel. THAT game rocks socks off. Are there plans to port Witcher 2 to console? Thought I heard something like that...

@Yossarian29: Should I go back and play STALKER? Is it graphics intensive?

Its not so bad. I'm the kind of guy that hates to play a game on a lower resolution, but in STALKER it really doesnt matter. The textures and models arent that intensive, just BIG areas that draw it down. Its not like Crysis where you miss out on super crazy effects if everything is medium. It is totally worth it if you like open-world shooters like Fallout 3 but more technical.
