GR Release Round-Up 08/14/2011

Posted on Sunday, August 14 @ 23:25:15 Eastern by

We decided to skip last week's less than stellar release line up to get ahead of schedule with your GR Release Round-Up. Of course, I went to a baseball game today and spent a lot of time with my girlfriend... sooo... I had fun! Outside!! What's on store shelves this week? Be sure to check out Jessica's video round-up above and then click on some games below to learn more about them.
El Shaddai certainly presents itself as an interesting fantasy game with ties to religious texts, but how does it play? We'll have to find out this week as Ignitions last self-developed game makes its way to store shelves. Will they ever return to developing if their publishing arms performs well enough?

With Bastion and From Dust landing on the PC, it's up to Toy Soldiers: Cold War to wrap up Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion. Eduardo's already got the verdict on the final XBLA game in the block, so keep your eye pealed to our front page. I think we've also got a spare code that might be up for grabs later this week!

Crimson Alliance is not part of Summer of Arcade. It is related in that if you've bought all five SoA titles you'll get Crimson Alliance for free.

Wait let me get this straight, you have a girlfriend, you went to a baseball game OUTSIDE, and you had fun. How dare you call yourself a gamer? Next you’ll be telling us you don’t live in your mom’s basement.
