For Obsidian's crowdfunded love letter to Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, I was impressed by its willingness to pull back the curtain and let me see the machinery behind it.

GR Release Round-Up 08/21/2011

Posted on Sunday, August 21 @ 20:30:00 Eastern by

Welcome to the GameRevolution Release Round-Up. All the week's new releases, conveniently collected for your perusal. Watch Jessica's gameplay round-up and then find the list of games, platforms, and dates below. GO!
If you couldn't already tell, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is GameRevolution's pick of the week. There is really no other release you should be concerned with over DXHR. Square Enix and Eidos Montreal will take gamers back to the future, 2027 to be specific, so that you can experience the world before the original Deus Ex. Truthfully, DXHR signals the start of the Fall gaming season. YAY! No more summer drought!

I got nothing done with my backlog of games. What a shame. Aside from DXHR, I'll probably try to play a little Third Strike and add Shin Megami Tensei to my 3DS catalog. What are you buying this week?
