GR Release Round-Up
Posted on Friday, October 15 @ 22:51:28 Eastern by danielrbischoff
Holy crap, it's the holidays! Nick had Fallout: New Vegas on his desk today. Rock Band 3 is in the office. There's a ton of games coming out next week! What are they?
You know, sometimes we get confused too! There's just so much going on in video games from week to week. Call this a temporary title, but every week, along with a Haiku contest, we're going to deliver a round up of all the releases coming next Sunday through Saturday. We'll try to give you a fairly complete release list (you're going to have to look up Barbie Horse Adventures yourself), and highlight a few that have been buzzing in the office.

I think GR's pick of next week is easily Vanquish. If the game were in the office today, we would have had our own little Mexican stand-off over the title. Nick has his hands busy with Fallout: New Vegas. I've got plenty of work to hold me over. Blake is always partying. But I think it's safe to say that we're all looking forward to a little Mikami mix of Gears of War and a little game by the name of P.N. 03.
Have you never heard of P.N. 03 (Wikipedia Page)? Years ago, before Resident Evil 4 in fact, Capcom signed a deal (Capcom Five) with Nintendo to bring five different games exclusively to the little purple lunch box known as the Gamecube. Of those five games, one was Viewtiful Joe, another was Resident Evil 4, another still was Killer7, another was canceled (Dead Phoenix), and the last was P.N. 03. The producer of P.N. 03? Shinji Mikami. Weird how similar Vanquish and this earlier Mikami game look, right? I've long loved P.N. 03, just for its pure obscurity, and tracked a copy down in a Gamestop in San Jose. That's why I'm excited about Vanquish!
So enough history, what games are you picking up next week?

But i'm also struggling between Fallout and Gothic 4 (but i may be putting too much hope in this one...)
