GR Release Round-Up

Sometimes looking at the release calendar is like looking at a weather forecast. The rain has to get out of the way for there to be sun. Vice versa. Next week, everything has to get out of the way for Kinect.

Microsoft enters the casual motion control game next week and is looking to completely destroy all comers. Who's heard about the Wii? We haven't. Playstation Move? Move out of the way. While Microsoft expects to sell 3 million motion-sensing cameras this holiday, I doubt they'll be doing much of that business on Day 1. Still, it'll be interesting to see how the first week of Kinect sales go. The press might not get their hands on NPDs as readily as they used to, but I guarantee Microsoft will be tooting their own horn no matter how first day sales go.

Head. A'splode.

Is there no end? So only Ken and James Bond are man enough to take on Kinect in a same-week sales showdown? My predictions? Monopoly Streets will be the top seller. (Daniel's predictions are typically completely wrong.)

I hate to say it, but Game Revolution will have its eye on Kinect all week long. I don't want to give a piece of hardware the coveted "pick of the week", but you can't deny that the launch of Kinect is an important event. The week is certainly devoid of other truly blockbuster titles, with the exception of a portable God of War. We'll be sure to keep you tuned into what's happening all week long, and look forward to the contiguous onslaught of new reviews from GR.
