For Obsidian's crowdfunded love letter to Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, I was impressed by its willingness to pull back the curtain and let me see the machinery behind it.

DAILY MANIFESTO

Great Score This Weekend

Posted on Monday, July 30 @ 21:35:20 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
Did you have a good weekend? Mine sure started on a bright note when on Saturday morning I found a Commodore 64, still in its box, for $4. Sweet.

I never owned one of these before (I had an Apple II+)  so it is with great pride that I add it to GR's collection of classic consoles, the star of which (in my humble opinion) is my Atari Super Pong console. Nothing settles an office argument better than a Pong match to determine whose Pong-Fu is strongest. Sharp eyed readers can also spot the tip of a Sonic 2 cartridge in that pic.

I had to use two adapters (including an old Sega Genesis adapter) to get it hooked up to the TV in the reception room, but lo and behold, it works beautifully. I wrote a quick script in BASIC to fill the screen with colorful letters. Not even sharp eyed viewers will be able to tell that it says "If only I had internet so I could read Game Revolution."

Now I just need a couple games. Any recommendations?
