For Obsidian's crowdfunded love letter to Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, I was impressed by its willingness to pull back the curtain and let me see the machinery behind it.

Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

DAILY MANIFESTO

Greetings from Comic-Con true believers!

Posted on Thursday, July 24 @ 15:15:19 Eastern by Blake_Morse
I've only been here for the equivalent of a day and so many crazy things have already gone down. Yesterday Ben Templesmith and I met up for an interview and the dude bought me a lemonade. Con you believe it? These guys are giving me things just because I'm asking them questions! Ben was a really down to earth fella and we had a great time chatting about all sorts of things, including the 30 Days of Night game that never was.

After that I was off to the IDW booth for Darwyn Cooke's annoucment of his new project, Parker. It's based off the crime series of the same name and looks awesome. Darwyn is a big film noir fan and it really comes across in his art and his style. Hopefully we'll be meeting up for an interview later this week.

Last night I went to the Activision Comic-Con launch party and had a blast. They revealed the first trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2:Fusion. They didn't show much but what I did see looks promising. The big angle they're working in this installment is all the heroes fusing their powers together to create some badass moves that are sure to take out any villan in a home made jumpsuit. The new game will start with the Secret War arc in which Nick Fury takes a group of supes on an unauthorized mission that ends up having dire consequences. where the game will go from there is anyone guess.

The other title showing there was Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. I got some hands on with it and it looks like it has everything that was great about Ultimate Spider-Man with improved combat. I think I might have seen enough to write a preview, so be on the lookout for that when I get back to the compound.

I'm recording all my interviews and will be compiling a special podcast. I think you guys are going to dig it. So far I've got Ben Templesmith, Heads of the new upcoming Marvel / Activision games, including script writer/comic guy Brian Reed, and a fella named grant Morrison. I'll keep you posted on everything I see this week as well, so be sure to check the Manifesto. Until than, 'Nuff Said.
