GTA Deserving Of A Perfect Score?

Posted on Monday, April 28 @ 13:02:11 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
Looks like my self-proclaimed wild speculation on Friday may have been unfounded. As the lucky publications with early access report in, Grand Theft Auto IV is turning into one of the highest rated games of all time.

Only a few journalists worldwide were allowed to play the game before tomorrow's launch. No review discs were sent to anyone. GR, unfortunately, did not make that short list. We're in the boat with everyone else except for our giant foam "shocker".

Selected writers were flown to New York or San Francisco where they were allowed to play in their hotel rooms as much as they liked for five days, all under the watchful eye of Rockstar security.

Their reports are unanimously glowing.

Starting tomorrow morning, we'll start playing working our asses off to get the GR review up as soon as we can, while still giving the game as much time as it needs to be fully realized.

One  thing we know for sure is that the hype is intense. How intense? Apparently over at UPS they're having a big problem with Grand Theft Grand Theft Auto IV.
