After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

GTAV Advert In NYC Promotes Only PS3, Sorry Xbox

Posted on Tuesday, August 6 @ 15:20:58 PST by

After the notorious and equally embarrassing Peter Moore tattoo reveal that the Xbox 360 would have exclusive content for GTAIV, it may come as a surprise to see Grand Theft Auto V instead aligned with Sony. As Daniel had pointed out previously, an exclusive GTAV PS3 bundle is coming, as is a GTAV-branded Pulse ELITE headset for the PS3, and with all currently released GTAV footage being promoted as the PS3 version of the game, it's as if Rockstar has forgotten that the Xbox 360 version even exists.

An advertisement was put up in NYC recently, and it completely omits the fact the game is releasing on Microsoft's console, only saying "On PlayStation 3".

Microsoft was heavily criticized for paying a rumored $50-million to Rockstar Games for exclusive episodic DLC early on in this console generation. However, it seems that Sony has gone a similar route for Grand Theft Auto V, passing on exclusive content (which arguable, hurt GTAIV as much as it did the PS3) and opting for an exclusive promotional partnership that realigns GTA with the PlayStation brand—something that was true for the entire PS2 generation.

No details are available at this time, but the proof is in the poster. And the trailers. And the bundles and everything else.
