I had planned to write something about the Borderlands series, but that will have to wait. I have something I need to get off my chest first. It's very personal, and I hope the two or three of you who follow my sparse blog will spare me this moment. I joked in my review for the bizarre...

Haiku Fridays: Firefall Digital Deluxe Package [Winner!]

Posted on Tuesday, August 5 @ 15:30:00 Eastern by

[Update] Amd sliverstorm wins! Mainly because he made a joke about bikini armor, but also because he supplied a pic and he got four upvotes. So you win! Go dance somewhere we can't see. Your Firefall code will be in your inbox.

[Original] Our reviewer for Red 5 Studios' Firefall, Joey Davidson, is presently shooting his way through evil armor-plated creatures, and he'll have a series of posts on this MMO shooter over the next two weeks. GameRevolution was actually given two packages to experience Firefall, but Joey was kind enough to let us use this extra code for this haiku contest.

We've got a limited-time code for the Digital Deluxe Edition of Firefall, valued at $250 (currently priced at $99.99), which will net you a whole bunch of perks: a ranger all-terrain MGV, all 11 Advanced Battleframes, 90 Days of VIP Time (+25% XP, Crystite, and Reputatio Vouchers, and more), 200 Red Beans for in-game items and perks, the 'Cobalt Phoenix' Warpaint, two in-game titles ("Savior of Humanity" and "Champion of Mankind"), and a downloadable concept art booklet and digital soundtrack. Whew!

All you need to do to score the code is to write a haiku about Firefall and post it in the comments here. For those who don't know what a haiku is, it's a short three-line poem where the first line is five syllables, the second line is seven, and the third line is five again. Make sure you check your syllables or you might not get the prize.

This time around, you don't need to have an address at all! (Don't be a robot, okay, unless you're a cool one...) The winner will be chosen on Tuessday at 12:00pm PST. We'll alert you here and by PM (if possible) if you've won, and you'll have 48 hours to respond before I send you the code.
