Halo Mania Part 2

Posted on Tuesday, October 2 @ 21:50:02 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
You know this artist is happy because his female Master Chief statue is already bid over $2,000 on eBay. Or should that be Mistress Chief?

Here's a link to the auction, it's got a whole gallery of photos. At 8" tall, she's about as big as a Barbie Doll... and similarly proportioned it seems.

In its own way, this, um, spartan Spartan armor isn't any sillier than the outfits in Gears of War, which took the opposite tack. The main characters there are decked out in serious body armor, but for some reason refuse to wear their helmets.

While Mistress Chief appears nowhere in the game, she joins a long history of video game women in unlikely outfits. From preposterously useless chainmail bikinis to post nuclear fashion faux-pas.

I'll be watching to see what it finally goes for, but two grand already seems steep to me, and is yet the latest evidence of unreasonable Halo mania. Also, male hormones out of control.
